What’s Trending? Eco-Friendly Luxury Fashion Accessories

By | December 30, 2020

Let’s face it Accessories can really make, or break, an outfit. It is not always that easy to know exactly what to add to emphasize your personality, style and individual style, how to introduce a new style to people, and finally how to accomplish a luxurious look. If you are a true fashionista, then you know that it takes more than just good clothing choices to come up with a truly fashionable look and feel. There is more to it. And one of those elements is luxury fashion accessories. Lucky for you, your smart selection of accessories will help you not only look and feel great but also let the world know about who you really are.

What exactly are these luxury fashion accessories that allow affluent consumers to make such a bold statement? One way is through the use of eye catching and interesting accessories that really grab attention. Another is through the complete opposite – items that really go with everything, are elegant, sophisticated, but also keep the onlookers at bay. In other words, there are those accessories that blend in perfectly with your outfit and yet offer something unique to the occasion. This is what is referred to as a “snapshot report”.

The first luxury fashion accessories snapshot report I am going to discuss is the bag. You may have heard this before, but the bag has a special place in the affluent consumer’s closet. It is important that the bag matches the shoes and yet offers something that is different. For example, if you are wearing jeans, then you definitely do not want to buy a bag that looks exactly like a pair of jeans.

With many of today’s luxury brands, sustainability is becoming increasingly important. Although they offer many different fashion items, many of them are made from natural fibers like cashmere, silk, and suede. As a result, many of these bags and accessories can be considered very eco-friendly. With many environmental groups promoting organic and sustainable fashion, it is no wonder why many luxury fashion brands have taken this step.

One such luxury fashion accessory brand that is taking the environment into consideration by using sustainable and eco-friendly fabrics is Elle Smith. Many of their bags and other accessories, such as their legging boots are made with wool. This is a great start for a brand that is environmentally conscious, but beyond that their philosophy is to use luxury items that enhance the lifestyles of their customers, and by extension, the planet.

Another luxury fashion brand that has taken an active role in the fight against waste and environmental degradation is Dolce & Gabbana. Their bags are made from natural fibers, most notably silk. In a recent television spot, the tagline “Only the best never come out” was displayed prominently on their bag collection. The spot then asked, “What would you have to say if we told you your choices could make a difference to the world?,” and after a brief look at their line of handbags, Dolce and Gabbana quickly responded, “Wool.”

Last month, Elle Smith shared an interesting bit of information regarding her favorite celebrity’s clothing. Smith reported that she really likes Chanel and she would definitely wear it if it were to come back on the market. It turned out that her favourite colour is green, so it was easy for her to make that correlation. Chanel did have some bad news as far as its manufacturing process goes, but it did bring us good news in the way of eco-friendly options for its bags and other clothing items. While we can only hope that Elle Smith will change her mind when it comes to other high-end fashions, the sight of her favoured label was encouraging for other fashionistas who are looking to do their part in saving our environment.

Hopefully, in this season of green fashion and natural luxury fashion accessories, we will see a greater push towards eco-friendly products and fashion designs. Eco-friendly items will not only benefit consumers and the planet, they will also encourage other luxury fashion accessories brands to follow suit. High end designers have already demonstrated that they are not afraid to use recycled materials in their work, and if they take a cue from them, other labels will surely follow suit. If you are in the market for a new handbag or accessory, consider purchasing one that is eco-friendly for both your wallet and your carbon footprint.
